Comments: I am impressed with the web site!!! Just can't say enough about the efforts of men like you who are keeping this important piece of aviation alive. My dad was 1st Sgt of the orginial 53rd, Myron David Obernier, and has talked about "Guns A Go-Go for the last 30+ years. He will be glad to meet the old team in Huntsville and is looking forward to the re-union. I spent 22 years in Air Force aviation and have spent the last 15 years working for Army Aviation. I can't tell you the number of people I've met during that time who claim to have been with the Go-Go's. However many fade away when I'd say my dad was with the original 53rd. This only shows how famous the unit really was. Everyone wanted to be associated. There's no doubt in my mind that Go-Go was indeed a very unique, one of a kind outfit and pioneered the "gunship" program. We, in aviation owe a lot to these men and I am especially proud of my dad. He is the greatest man I've ever known. Keep up the good work. Ron (little "OBE") PS-I have some photo's of "Birth Control" and "Co$t of Living" that I'd be pleased to sent to you for the web site. Let me know.

Comments: I JUST WANT TO START BY SAYING THAT I AM A HELICOPTER ELECTRICIAN. MY FIRST UNIT I WAS IN WAS A HOOKER UNIT AND I MUST SAY THAT I WILL ALWAYS BE A HOOKER. CURRENTLY I AM IN A BLACKHAWK UNIT BUT THEY JUST CANT HOLD A FLAME TO CHINOOKS. I JUST WANTED TO SAY THAT I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN FASCINATED WITH THE WHOLE GUNS-A-GO-GO DEAL. ITS FUNNY CAUSE MY OLD COMMANDER DIDNT BELIEVE ABOUT ARMED CHINOOKS. BUT ANYHOW I HAD TO PROVE HER WRONG. BUT I JUST WANTED TO LET ALL THOSE GUYS WHO FLEW OVER IN VIETNAM KNOW THAT WE ARE VERY PROUD OF YOU GUYS. I LOOK UP TO ALL OF YOU. WELL THANKS FOR YOUR TIME AND GOOD LUCK AND GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU! Comments: I flew with C Company (Circle C Cowboys), 228th 1st Cav 67-68. Plus, it was my honor to fly Go-Go Aircraft. The plan was for me to become the unit's operations officer. Unfortunately MACV and Cav politics precluded the transfer.I remanined in C Company until Feb '68. Nonetheless, those who were there know the value of these special aircraft and the special people who flew them. Honoring these craft and their crews is long overdue!

I suggest you somehow get the word out that the computer screen images are garbage compared to looking at the real prints. Keep up the good work and think positive about making it "Hucksville" in May! Many thanks, Hank, former D-1-12 Cav
